Pearl Harbor Day

POW/MIA Memorial Highway signThe Montana POW/MIA Awareness Association maintains flags for each of the 55 POW/MIA personnel from Montana. Each of these flags are embroidered with the name, branch of service, and the conflict in which each of these missing veterans served. On holidays related to veterans, the flags are placed on light poles along both sides of the Helena end of Highway 287 which was dedicated as the Montana POW/MIA Memorial Highway. The flags are flown from dawn to dusk to honor the Montana personnel and to remember and raise awareness of all POW/MIA personnel and related issues.

These are the holidays and events on which we fly the flags to recognize these personnel:

Armed Forces Day Memorial Day
D Day Flag Day
Independence Day Ride to Remember Day
POW/MIA Recognition Day Veterans Day
Pearl Harbor Day

We are always looking for individuals interested in helping. You do not have to be a veteran or even a biker, just someone who thinks that POW/MIA issues are important and would like to participate.
